Not only can you maximize the Jeep Wrangler 4xe mpg in Hybrid Mode, but you don’t need to worry about plugging in and charging your vehicle when electric power runs out. At that point, the vehicle automatically shifts over to eSave Mode. The Jeep 4xe Hybrid Mode is the default setting for 4xe models, and it provides a great balance of rapid acceleration, horsepower, instant torque, and efficiency.
So, how far can you go in Hybrid Mode? The Jeep Wrangler 4xe mpg in Hybrid Mode reaches 49 miles per gallon/kilowatt*.
As long as the electric battery charge level is at 1% or above, the Jeep 4xe can run on 100% electric power. In other words, your travels through Hogansburg will be nearly free of tailpipe emissions! The Jeep Wrangler 4xe can drive for up to 21 miles* in Electric Mode.
In Jeep 4xe eSave Mode, the combustion engine provides most of the power. However, the engine will shut off automatically when power demand is low. Switching to eSave mode is a good idea if you’re trying to save power for a trip later in the day without stopping to plug in and charge. When driving the Jeep 4xe in eSave Mode, gas mileage is 20 combined mpg* for both city and highway.
Regenerative Braking is an innovative feature that charges the 4xe electric battery when the vehicle is decelerating and braking. This allows Brasher Falls drivers to recoup a small amount of battery power without stopping for a charge! It also offers the benefit of slowing the vehicle without pressing the brake pedal. This feature stays selected unless you opt to turn it off.
